Overall made the car much more fun to drive & really woke the car up.Īgain, I went bama since I got everything almost 1/2 price vs American muscle. Stayed around 22 cruising at 75-80 (3.55 gears). On the highway MPG wasn’t really affected. Nothing insane, but it definitely pulls a lot harder. The car really shines between 3-4K and redline. Drove it around town to make sure nothing crazy would happen and the car felt much more alive vs stock. Right away I noticed the throttle was much more sensitive and the car definitely wanted to get up and go. Haven’t used the e85 tune yet but will update once I run thru this tank of gas. After sending in my info it took them 4 days to get me a 91 performance & e85 race tune. Ordered the lifetime tunes since it’s only 150$ and I wanted to see if bama really was terrible like 95% of people were saying. ![]() Previous cars I had tuned, it made a decent difference but nothing crazy. So this being my first V8 I was very happy with the car stock but wanted a little more grunt. Did my research and could only find extreme reviews either positive or negative. If there is an event you feel is missing here, please message the moderators and we'll take care of it!īefore I start I just wanted to say the reason I went bama is because I found an X4 unlocked for 100$ on FB marketplace so I wanted to try it out. I'm thinking I might actually dial it back a little bit for the 1-2 shift. If you love Ford Mustangs this is the place for you. So maybe this was a placebo effect but as far as I could tell, it really made a significant difference in how the car shifts at WOT. Not even sure what the sound was a combination of. I was more shocked at how violent it felt. Previously I was getting a bit of spin during 1-2 shift at WOT but it didn't feel like it was jerking the car as much as this. You could really feel it kick - I couldn't quite tell if I was getting any tire spin on the shifts but my current tires (firestone firehawk wide oval indy 500s) are fairly new and very quiet, even if I spin'em from a stop (which I rarely do anyway). ![]() I ran it to red line and let it shift again, and it was more of the same - banged super hard into the next gear, and really jolted the whole car. Shifted down almost instantly, which it would normally do anyway - but it slammed even harder into gear and it literally sounded like someone banging two big rocks together. I tried a full throttle run, from about 25-30 mph. The shifts were fast and firm anyway, as I'm running a pretty aggressive race tune. Tried a little more throttle (maybe half throttle), still didn't see much (if any) difference. I adjusted each of the shifts under "shift pressure" (1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5) up to +25 last night.Ĭouldn't really feel any change under regular driving.
